The objective is to show how “closely related” we all are. According to the project’s director, Dr. Spencer Wells, racial differences appeared a “mere” 2,000 generations ago, and in “geological time” this is barely a moment. From this fact we are to conclude, then, that racial and ethnic difference are quite trivial -certainly not something that should impede “progress” from the shadows of racial superstition toward the (we are assured) self-evidently noble goal of human biological unity. The problem with that particular spin on the facts is just this: 2,000 generations equals all of recorded human history. Last we checked, humans live in human time, not geological time. The reason for the spin? Modern genomics is showing us how different we are racially and ethnically from one another using haplotypes, and something must be done by internationalists/globalists to break down the innate sense of difference we feel, group from group. Voila, the Genographic Project. Another in a long series of efforts to minimize human differences and population-affinity.
As part of this effort, the facts of genomics must be “contextualized” in order that no one conclude what is in fact the truth: human types are as different from one another as are what are called “species” in the animal kingdom, and the scandal here is that science (driven of course by Pharma interests) is going off-script from scientific pedagogy, whose redoubt has been extended from academia and professional advocacy to government and even industry itself. Get rid of the “disunity” caused by the thinking that we are different from one another (goes the thought process), and you pave an emotional pathway beyond “nationalism” to “human brotherhood.” But the Mr. Hyde that continues to appear despite the best efforts of the bio-unitarians is the racial-ethnic hard-wiring of the human brain.
What is going to come out of the study is the unavoidable conclusion that some populations are more related to one another than to others, and some populations have fewer genetic “by ways” than others, meaning greater purity. If the thought is to show that everyone came from somewhere else, then that’s a puerile point. Rather what they hope to show is widespread “mixture” and ultimate common descent. But our common descent from those unitary progenitor Adam and Eve still managed, in the interim, to produce all the typological divergence we witness today. It stands to reason that the capacity (and therefore the teleological design of man himself) for racial-ethnological divergence is as human as warm blood and live young. That is to say, without race and ethnicity, we are not quite human. Where race and ethnicity are suppressed, they reappear as soon as a pathway again becomes available to them in the process of life. What this portends is the necessity of a never-ending program to continuously suppress the re-emergence of race and ethnicity, which are expressions of the design of the creature -just as hair reappears time and again after shaving it. What will be required, and what is underway, is a forever war against race, and thus, by logical extension, a war against humanity itself, the outcome of which is not a new kind of man, but the infra-human, like the pseudo-human hulks wandering the fire-scoured streets of Hiroshima.
Yet racial difference is so old that it has to be projected back into pre-human “ancestors” to show its origin. For this reason the emphasis must be on “geological time” rather than on history, which shows no unity anywhere in its annals, but rather tribal and extended-tribal life. What this says is exactly the opposite of what National Geographic and IBM are claiming: namely, as long as humans have been human, they have been part of sub-populations. We know from scripture that the very first man was part of a sub-population that still exists. What interest does a global information corporation like IBM have in genomics? I’ll give you one hint and it’s in the word “global.”
