Laurel, I think the quote you were making is more along the lines of “If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything.”

This is precisely what is happening to the USA right now, because we are being told that we must not stand for anything. It is no longer acceptable to stand for traditional American values and American rights. They are deemed racist and discriminatory, and it is just not politically correct to stand for what our country has always stood for. This is precisely Obama’s message. He will CHANGE America, he will make it into a totally different country, one where you and I have no place at all. The problem is, John McCain will not do much differently. We are truly stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Stupid Swedes. (BTW, I love Fjordman’s work...) The Muslim immigrants who have ruined Malmo (where some of my ancestors came from, or at least small towns near there) do not respect Swedish women, as shown by the high rape incidence.

My bad...you are correct about the saying.

Having just spent a bit of time in the heart of ObamaCountry (North Carolina), I can testify that there seems to be a one-party system there, based on the signs, bumper stickers, and buttons I saw. And it’s neither Democratic or Republican, it’s ObamaParty. I’ve never seen so many Whites acting actively against their own self-interst. Kind of a strange sensation to be there.

Me, I am voting for Chuck Baldwin. I “wasted” my vote in the last election by voting for the only Christian candidate, guess I will “waste” it in this one as well.

I would have voted for Ron Paul, but he has switched battlefields, probably very wisely, to work on building a base for freedom in the future.

I am supporting Chuck Baldwin also. I think it is important to vote and I refuse to vote for either Obama or McCain because I think both of them will be terrible for the country.

Just be aware that if you vote for Baldwin instead of holding your nose and voting for McSame, your are voting yourself a tax increase and the possibility of a reversal on the 2nd amendment decision. Ordinarily I would say that you must vote your conscience because real change can come only by building genuine alternatives, but when the result will be the election of an arrant socialist who will wreck the economy and engineer huge reversals in recent Supreme Court decisions, then I’ll hold my nose and vote the lesser of two evils, even though that’s precisely what they are counting on. Had the democratic party selected Clinton, I would not be writing this.  Let’s say Baldwin gets an astounding 10% of the disaffected Republican vote, then he is still a marginal candidate at best. Working for the reform of the Republican party would seem to me to be more realistic than building up a third party, which hasn’t mattered since the days of the Bull Moose party. Obama is planning, and with the Demo control over Congress be able to accomplish, a stunningly massive increase in the size and power of the federal government. He’s planning a civilian, militarized domestic “police” force the size of the current army. His plans are from the pit of hell, folks.

Do you really want a Negro President? C’mon, this guy is the devil and he WILL be president if the rightly, understandably frustrated and disaffected Republicans, Independents, and Libertarians vote for the right wing equivalent of Ralph Nader.

I’m not so sure we can afford to be idealistic on this one guys. I know I sound like Andrew Sandlin, and I’m not going to pretend that McSame isn’t a stinker of a candidate, but he’s also not going to be president Martin Loofer Keen, either.
