Here’s an article from a Stormfront thread talking about the rise of “assault weapons” especially AK-47s in the US (notice that they blame the guns for the violence and not the Negroes). Ever since the Clinton ban expired in 2005 the Democrats in Congress have been introducing a new weapon ban into the Congress every year. Because the Republicans held the Congress and the Presidency, the Democratic leadership never got behind the proposal since they knew it would be blocked. However with a Democratic Congress I expect that this new ban will be pushed hard after the President changes in 2009 with scare articles like the one linked pushing the dangers of “assault weapons” into the public spotlight.
Time to start stocking up on guns and ammo now, if you haven’t already done so.
Thanks for posting this article. It’s always good to be aware of legislation that might limit 2nd amendment rights to a pea-shooter or blowgun without a barb.
First, it’s not the government’s place to tell me what kinds of guns I keep in my home, on land that’s been mine since before said government existed. Free men don’t ask permission to arm themselves.
Second, if the “lawmakers” in Washington wanted any of us to take these laws seriously, they screwed the pooch when they included a ban on barrel shrouds. Barrel shrouds? Are you kidding? If someone can explain to me how a barrel shroud makes my guns more dangerous, please do. The point of a barrel shroud is to prevent an individual from burning themselves on a hot firearm. Pardon me if I’m in left field, but my reasoning leads me to believe this makes a gun more safe. I won’t even get into pistol grips, telescoping stocks or internal magazines with a 10 round capacity.
Third, these are the morons ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=9rGpykAX1fo&feature=related ) who are trying to tell me, a United States Marine, a 4th Award Rifle Expert, 3rd Award Pistol Expert, a Primary Marksmanship Instructor and a country boy who’s been handling guns since I was old enough to tie my boots, that I can’t have the firearm of my choosing? Laughable.
Some Greek comes to mind. Anyone care to guess what it is?

I’m in absolute agreement. It’s nobody’s business but one’s own.

Safety while shooting? Well, why on earth would the same government that wants to leave us to the “mercy” of our attackers, of whatever stripe, give a flying leap whether we are safe or comfortable as we defend ourselves?

Uh, the Greek is where I will leave off my imagining, my being a lady and all that.
I watched the LiveLeak message on why they took down the film...it certainly emphasizes the threat Islam poses to Christians and Westerners in general.
Having watched the film all the way through before I posted the link, I can only say that I am very disappointed that others will not get to see it because of death threats to the folks at LiveLeak. It was worthwhile to watch, even if one has already seen many of the news clips in regular broadcasts. The speeches of the imams especially were most “enlightening.”
Anyone who thinks that we have common cause with this faith is absolutely, stark, staring mad.
May our Lord Jesus Christ bless His people,
