WESTERN AUSTRALIA, Jan. 12 - If you want to stupefy a horse, you breed a mare with a donkey. What you get is a sterile mule - a slow, steady, obedient “mutt” suitable for hard farm labor, and little else. A mule can’t even reproduce itself. So forget the grace and power of a horse. Or the toughness and stubbornness of a donkey. Mules, the horse-donkey mutts, are bred for hard labor and obedience, not for their varied personalities.

The globalists’ immigration policies amount to the same thing. They are also designed to take the spice out of life, and life out of vibrant nations. Thriving, entrepreneurial countries, once energized by freewheeling immigrants, are being turned into nations of obedient mutts. Enter United States of America, Australia, Canada…

All three nations are former British colonies. All three are “nations of immigrants.” All three share the English language as the common bond. Yet, all three are being driven by mysterious forces to self-destruction through their contemporary demographic policies. Except that you’ll never see it put quite that way in the establishment media, which glorifies the virtues of “multiculturalism,” while ignoring its pitfalls.

The U.S. Immigration Act of 1965, for example, signed into law by the Democratic President, Lyndon B. Johnson, launched “a demographic event of seismic proportions,” wrote Peter Brimelow, a British-born Forbes magazine editor, in his best-selling book, “Alien Nation.” Mr. Brimelow called this process the “browning of America.” Immigration from Europe, the traditional source of American immigrants who shared the cultural heritage with the original American settlers, was immediately choked off by this act. By late 1980s, immigration from Europe was dipping below 10 percent of total inflow.

Meanwhile, immigration from Third-World countries soared. As a result, the U.S. government now officially projects that the American whites will be on the verge of becoming a minority (53 percent) by year 2050, if the current trends continue.And even that figure (53 percent) understates the rapidly declining share of Americans of European descent, who for nearly two centuries had accounted for more than three-quarters of the American population. The U.S. Census Bureau, which made the above year 2050 projection, counts all immigrants from the Middle East and North Africa as “whites,” according to Brimelow…

Further on in the article it claims:

“It doesn’t take very long to dumb down a nation,” agreed a former publishing company CEO, a long-time advocate of better quality education in America. “After only two or three generations, you can easily produce a nation of morons”.”

Why would the elites preach better education but implement policies that lead toward a nation of morons?

“Because such a stupefied population is easier to subjugate by the elites’ financial shackles than would be a free-spirited, free-thinking, patriotic, enterprising Americans who had made this country the envy of the world,” I answered in the above column.

So how have done as a nation since August 1997?  Terribly.  The elites are winning.  We are dumber than ever.

Actually, from what I can see in the classroom, the divisions in society will be exacerbated over the next 40 years or so, the productive years of the current generation of high school students.

There are the “elite” students, if you want to call them that, who achieve on the basis of natural brain power and an excellent work ethic. They tend to be white or asian, although some hispanic students and the occasional mixed race student fit into this category as well. You could call them the racehorses. The size of this groups seems to shrink year by year.

Then there’s the bottom end of achievement, where the natural limits of intellect stand in the way of higher levels of academic achievement. Interestingly enough, while this group might not do well academically, they work really hard in non-academic pursuits, like basic jobs in the community. These would qualify as mules, to use the articles metaphor. This group is growing, partly because of immigration and other policies the article outlines.

But the article fails to point out an observation I have made time and again; it’s not always the native intelligence that’s lacking, it’s the work ethic and respect for education. I place responsibility for this problem right at the feet of the entertainment industry. You could not suck the productive life out of a generation of young men better than the video/computer game industry has. While gaming is good training for hand-eye coordination and quick responses, both needed by the military and some in the medical profession (surgeons, who have a lower incidence of errors during surgery if they play video games as recreation), excessive attention to gaming removes young people from productive life.

So society will end up with a small elite who combine intelligence with a work ethic, and a large group of not-terribly intelligent people who will work hard at simple jobs, the real tragedy is the group whose intelligence may be high or at least average, but whose focus is only on entertainment. They may not succeed because they lack a work ethic; sadly, they are intelligent enough to realize they are not succeeding, but too deluded by entertainment to know why. And they tend to be anything but obedient, so they don’t really qualify as mules. Not sure what they could be likened to in the animal world, perhaps some kind of parasite?

Is society being dumbed down? Absolutely. But not entirely in the way the article claims.
