Our member patrioticflags has a company called Euro Pride Couture, which provides “Trendy T-shirts That Celebrate European Heritage.” Please see the thread New White Pride T-shirts for more information and an ongoing discussion of his designs.
I recently discovered a T-shirt company called Sign of Distress which has some clever Christ and family-oriented shirts. I particularly like the slogans/designs on these:
Have you ever envisioned yourself back in time….. when genteel women wore delicate lace trimmed camisoles, pantaloons, bloomers, petticoats, blouses, bustle skirts, feather trimmed hats and lest we forget, elegant ball gowns. Made in rich velvets, taffetas, satins, cottons and lavishly trimmed in a virtual treasure trove of laces, ruffles and beaded bodices. Recollections makes it possible for your dreams to come true! ... For those who are just a romantic at heart we offer styles that can be worn in our day to day life, just with the feminine and modest touch often forgotten by the designers of today.
My daughter wore Hannas when she was little. They are very comfortable, and while their prices remain about what they were in the 1980s, they seem more reasonable now compared to everything else around.
Quite lovely, and very modest, Bridal Gowns, Bridesmaid Gowns, Mother of the Bride dresses, Prom, Semi-formal, and Day Dresses. Reminds me of the formals of my youth; stylish, but you didn’t have to worry about things that should remain private becoming public.
While I have not personally sewn from their patterns, they seem unique in that they are designed to work on a normal figure as well as a pregnant or nursing one. Two patterns available, one is listed as in the works.
For swimmers who are more concerned with being able to swim than decorating the beach, AllSwim has a great selection of suits for all shapes and sizes of women (and men). A plus is that the leg rise is clearly stated for each style, enabling people to choose the level of modesty they are comfortable with.
Elizabeth Steward Clark mostly provides patterns etc. to War Between the States reenactors; her site is one of the few places you can find historically correct patterns for children’s clothes of the period.
She also offers some interesting dolls/kits/patterns and some smallish, but very useful, books on women’s tailoring of the period.
