What was the purpose of Biblical Jews seeking to be perfect in their generations as Christ was? It was likely to preserve their traditions and keep out pagan contamination. That’s my assumption anyway.

Little platoons of Christians today can similarly keep out false idols by adhering to the word and passing it on. If we disperse into a Babel-like existence, the word will be disperses and mixed among other idols.

I recall Dr. Fleming once pondering whether the Bible said anything on racial purity. But if it was good for the Biblical Jews, why not for the Jews of today: the Christians?
