Free yourself from computing slavery.
No this is not a post to help you reduce your computer time, or web dependency.
Instead it offers you, and anyone who wishes to the opportunity to run a 100 % FREE Linux based Operating System that runs of a Live CD, an USB memory stick, or from your Hard Drive.
This particular Distribution is a Puppy Linux one, and is dedicated to the Christian community fully equipped with On and Off Line Bible study tools, on board Bible versions, etc…
I recommend you just download this .iso image file and burn it on a CD as such (.iso image, not data, or music, etc…), you can then run it just by rebooting your PC on your CD/DVD drive and you wont need to install anything on your PC (100 % safe).
Shed the Window$ shackles, and never buy Microsoft rip off crap again.
You’ll save a lot of money in the process too.
I’m not the author of this “puplet” (Puppy child), but I think it is great and just pass the info to all Kinists brothers and sisters.
I forgot to mention that all Puppy derivatives are really light in size compared to other Linux distros, and Windblow$ or Mac.
They also run a lot faster when installed (not off the CD).

FREE download & support:

More Puppy info on:

I’m using my own Musical Lab derivative puplet exclusively since January on 4 different computers (2 desktops, 1 laptop, and 1 netbook) without a flaw or bug.

You can find it here:

I’ll make another post for this killer Music Machine.

Have fun,

imprecator,

Yes that is a good idea. I would recommend Knoppix for a Live-CD OS and Sabayon for a full hard drive install. But there are other good free Operating System available.

A post from the Homeschooling Resources topic:

Faust - 01 June 2008 12:00 AM

I have already put up a number of links for free software on this thread, so I thought I would put a free OS links page. Unix in all it’s forms is getting better, so dumping windows and not giving any more money to that marxist Bill Gates is a good idea. Here is a good site I found. The sell CD of Free software for $0.99, they have also the links to down load it for free, but the that takes forever(and don’t try if you have dial up). They also have a CD of free windows software. The Live CD’s can be run without modifying the files on your hard drive or OS on your computer. I just order some OS CDs to test. Note there are a number of other companies that sell CD of Freeware, this site is nice, because it has links to the OS sites with more info and free downloads.

You are right Faust, there are many other FREE Linux distributions out there and most of them run better than Zionist’s Gates crap.
However this particular distro is a Puppy Linux and it is really much faster, user friendly and way smaller than other distros.
Puppy is small enough to load entirely inside the RAM memory of most computers, so one click on an apllication in the menu brings it up in a flash, it has already loaded at start up.
Due to the smaller size of the OS start up itself is much faster than say XP or Vista and other Linux distros.
This Christian oriented distro is only 119 MB compared with other Linux who are on the average over 600 MB it’s concentrated power, download time is reduced, CD burning time too (about 3 minutes) and typical HDD install takes 7 minutes only.
It takes hours to install XP on not so recent PCs and then the Service pack that takes most of the bugs out takes even longer.
Ubuntu Linux Music studio fits on a DVD (3GB) and takes 4 hours to install, download is a pain anywhere you might think of.
My Music Lab puplet “Pupitup” is 264 MB light has more working music creation software than Ubuntu (about half the soft on it don’t work, and you need to be a Linux Geek Wizard to get all the dependencies fixed).
Anyone who used Linux before will be astonished by the ease and speed of Puppy.
Another unique feature of Puppy:  When running of the CD, once booted, you can remove the CD to use the optical drive to read music, data, or watch a movie on DVD, because the whole OS resides in the RAM.
Puppy is not just another variant of Linux, it’s a better one.
Also Sheperdpup is complete with Christian useful software that are not standard on other Linux distros, it’s the main reason people should use it and pass it along, giving it freely away.
