Homeless people die after bird flu vaccine trial in Poland

Three Polish doctors and six nurses are facing criminal prosecution after a number of homeless people died following medical trials for a vaccine to the H5N1 bird-flu virus.

The suspects said that the all those involved knew that the trial involved an anti-H5N1 drug and willingly participated.

The news of the investigation will come as another blow to the reputation of Poland’s beleaguered and poverty-stricken national health service. In 2002, a number of ambulance medics were found guilty of killing their patients for commissions from funeral companies.

Looks like one does not want to get sick in Poland…

Laurel,

And on a very nasty note… the state now wants 11-year-old girls be routinely vaccinated against human papilloma virus with Gardasil. There are over 100 different human papilloma virus types that have been identified. Gardasil only stops only four types. There are ten known cancer causing types and many more known genital warts causing types this vaccine does not work on. And who knows how many unknown cancer causing types this vaccine also does not work on. They admit less than 2% of women in the US are infected with the virus types this vaccine stops. Herpes and human papilloma virus are incurable and so-called “Safer Sex” has been shown to be ineffective at stopping transmission. And is it even safe or effective?

Cervical Cancer Vaccination for Pre-Teens

District’s HPV Proposal Tinged With Ugly Assumptions

The Tragic Truth behind the Gardasil Nightmare

(NaturalNews) Why have the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries chosen to experiment with the first ever, large scale application of a new, unproven, genetically modified, inter-species gene mixing vaccine technology on the female youth of an entire generation? ...

The principle behind the vaccine is that exposure to VLPs triggers the immune system to produce protective antibodies. If an individual is exposed to HPV after receiving the vaccine, the immune system already contains the antibodies necessary to prevent virus infection. The antibodies primarily function by preventing the virus from binding to the cell which is necessary in order for the virus to reproduce and thrive.

The catch is that for induction of HPV neutralizing antibodies the L1 must be in the same conformation as in the intact virus. Unlike some other viral vaccines, inactivated virus produced in cultured cells was not a viable option because the viruses could not be produced in sufficient quantities in vitro. Also, the inactivated virions would still contain the viral oncogenes, which would preclude use in healthy young people, the primary target population. (In other words, the vaccine would produce cancer, not prevent it.)...

And from the same people who gave us Gardasil; a 48% effective Herpes vaccine:

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States is currently in the midst of phase III trials of a vaccine against HSV-2. The vaccine has only been shown to be effective for women who have never been exposed to HSV-1. Overall, the vaccine is approximately 48% effective in preventing HSV-2 seropositivity and about 78% effective in preventing symptomatic HSV-2. Assuming FDA approval, a commercial version of the vaccine is estimated to become available around 2008. During initial trials, the vaccine did not exhibit any evidence in preventing HSV-2 in males.1

Sometimes I fear nothing short of buckshot will put down the “sexual revolution,” but if that what is takes get the shotgun ready.

Focus on the Family and the Family Research Council, both faith-based conservative policy organizations, recently have spoken in support of HPV vaccines from Merck and GlaxoSmithKline because of their life-saving potential.1

Death toll linked to Gardasil vaccine rises
Complications include shock, ‘foaming at mouth,’ convulsions, coma

Urgent Warning about Gardasil

National Vaccine Information Center

Well, there’s plenty to be discussed about vaccines. Personally, I do get myself vaccinated for the flu once a year, and have survived my other vaccines. Still, I find myself concerned about the safety and effetiveness of some modern vaccines, and thought it would be interesting to have a discussion here.

Mandatory Swine Flu Vaccinations This Fall?

Preparations are clearly being geared towards a mass rollout of the swine flu vaccine, in other words, a mandatory distribution. Time Magazine has been dutifully preparing Americans to accept this premise, reporting on April 28th that a mass vaccination program is being readied to combat swine flu while also urging Americans to “trust that the government is working for the greater good” and to not resist draconian measures.

The question is, what will happen to the millions of people around the world who will reject the notion that the government can order someone to stick a needle in your arm by force?

Good question…

Laurel,

I have had the flu vaccine twice, both times I had a bad reaction and felt sick after getting it, and worse yet later those years I caught the flu, followed by a nasty secondary infection both times. After two years in row of that I did not get it the next year and have never been that sick sense. Maybe it was bad luck, maybe it was something other than flu, I don’t know.

When my husband was in the Marine Corps, he would have to line up for yearly flu shots, etc. (the CDC ruled he didn’t have to be told when they were given experimental stuff) He would get sick to the point of being on the verge of convulsions, and somehow the rest of us didn’t get sick…

I seldom have a reaction to flu vaccine; at most feel a little “off my feed” the next day.

When I was pregnant with my daughter, back in the dark ages, I was unsure about whether to vaccinate her. At the time I was a fan of Mothering magazine, sort of a hippy-dippy version of Parenting magazine. They had a publication that gave both sides of the childhood vaccination question. At that time there were two basic positions: vaccinate or don’t vaccinate, but eat a very healthy diet and breastfeed. Now, of course, there is a third position, a limited vaccination schedule for infants. But at the time it was either or.

I did decide to vaccinate my child on the basis of a letter contained in the Mothering publication. It was written by a public health nurse working on a lovely South Seas island environment. She claimed that the babies there, who were entirely breastfed for a long time and had a healthy diet after that because of the abundance of fruits, etc., frequently died of childhood diseases that were entirely preventable with simple vaccinations, even though they seemed to be in the best of health to begin with.

But I would be the last person in the world to impose my own choice of vaccination on other parents; I do believe it’s a parent’s prerogative to choose. And the Gardasil thing? Holy cow! The whole idea transmitted to a girl that she could have sex w/o HPV consequences is just one more nasty bit in the cultural “anything goes” model, and a great danger.

I know some folks believe that the Swine flu vaccine may be another method of population control; the truth is unknown on this at this time.

God bless,
Laurel

Laurel,

The reaction I had to the flu vaccine was not too bad, I just caught something really nasty both times I got it; if I am going to get sick anyway I rather not have a bad vaccine reaction too. But the next winter after having spent the last two being sick, I did not get sick at all. I would still likely favor the polio, mumps, and rubella vaccines for children. I have not quite made my mind up on this topic, it does need to be studied.

The Vaccine Book
by Dr. Robert Sears

A popular book by a well-known pediatrician, he endorses vaccines, but gives an alternative schedule for administering them to infants and young children that doesn’t bunch them all up in the early years. His web site has a link for locating a physician near you who would use a similar schedule.

Again, I don’t know if I agree or disagree with his position, I do believe parents need to have as much information as possible before making decisions about vaccinations.

Faust—I just overheard a Gardasil commercial on the TV. They make it sound so innocent…

Here are a couple of new articles on the Swine Flu vaccine and plans to administer it.

SCENARIOS-Children go to front of flu vaccine line

Few experts doubt there will be an H1N1 vaccination campaign but questions remain about how much companies should be prepared to make, whether to try to stretch the supply using ingredients called adjuvants and who should get the vaccine.

Here are some potential scenarios:

FULL SPEED AHEAD

WHO could advise companies to switch to full-speed production of an H1N1 swine flu vaccine for the northern hemisphere’s autumn, with the goal of getting a maximum 4.9 billion doses ready. More doses would be needed if clinical trials show that people will need two shots a few weeks apart to get the best protection.

Even more doses would be needed if children aged 2 to 9 turn out to need three doses. Currently, unvaccinated children under 9 need two influenza vaccinations the first year to get full protection from seasonal flu.

LIMITED PRODUCTION

WHO may advise companies to proceed with limited and cautious production of a vaccine, keeping in reserve the possibility of a stepped-up seasonal flu vaccination campaign.

LIMITED PRODUCTION

This may be recommended if it appears the virus has started to change, making a vaccine less protective. Infectious disease experts say there is little sign of this so far.

Florida, U.S. brace for marathon fight against swine flu

Swine flu isn’t going away anytime soon. So states must prepare to vaccinate against it and cope with its consequences. State and local officials say they are getting prepared.

Florida’s surgeon general says the state is preparing for massive swine flu immunizations, starting with schoolchildren, as the Obama administration urges states to prepare for the likelihood that the virus might worsen in the fall.

‘‘We may end up averting a crisis. That’s our hope,’’ said President Barack Obama, who took time away from the G-8 summit in Italy to telephone another summit back home—the 500 state and local health officials meeting to prepare for swine flu’s fall threat.

‘‘We want to make sure we aren’t promoting panic, but we are promoting vigilance and preparation,’’ Obama said.

Kathleen Sebelius, Health and Human Services chief, told the flu summit some H1N1 vaccine should be ready by mid-October.

Well, it’s all very interesting…

Health Care Bill Will Fund State Vaccine Teams to Conduct ‘Interventions’ in Private Homes

The committee’s official summary of the bill says: “Authorizes a demonstration program to improve immunization coverage. Under this program, CDC will provide grants to states to improve immunization coverage of children, adolescents, and adults through the use of evidence-based interventions. States may use funds to implement interventions that are recommended by the Community Preventive Services Task Force, such as reminders or recalls for patients or providers, or home visits.”
Home visits? What exactly is the state going to do when it sends people to “implement interventions” in private homes designed “to improve immunization coverage of children”?

Yee-hah! We’re all lining up for that one…

Get vitamin D not the flu shot

Or get an adequate dose of sunlight each day to help the body synthesize the vitamin.

Swine Flu Action Plan

Recommendations using the power of the local County Sheriff to block the administration of swine flu vaccine.

Have not read the book recommended, but it sounds like an interesting idea, and at least would let one know if the Sheriff can be trusted or not.
